Terms and Conditions
Our policies on travel recommendations, independent bookings, personal opinions and planning services.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to WANDERLUSTMUSTS. These Terms and Conditions explain how our website, travel content, affiliate recommendations and paid personalised travel-planning services operate. They apply to visitors using wanderlustmusts.co.uk; the provisions concerning paid services also form part of the contract accepted at checkout.
WANDERLUSTMUSTS is an independent UK travel publisher and personalised travel-research business. We help visitors discover, compare and research travel opportunities. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, we do not sell, organise, take payment for or fulfil flights, accommodation or package holidays booked with independent travel providers.
Using the website does not in itself create a paid contract with WANDERLUSTMUSTS. Where you purchase a Plan My Trip service, the applicable service description, price, checkout acknowledgements and our Refund and Cancellation Policy also apply. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
2. Our Role and Services
We publish handpicked travel deals, destination guides, travel tips, personal reviews, Travel Rights education, affiliate links and travel-related product recommendations. We also offer paid research and planning services under the name Plan My Trip.
Our editorial content is general information and inspiration. Paid planning provides research and recommendations within the agreed package, not tickets, travel reservations, insurance, financial services or a promise that any provider will deliver a particular experience.
We are not ordinarily a party to the separate contracts travellers enter into with airlines, hotels, holiday companies, retailers or other providers. Applicable law may impose additional obligations depending on how travel services are promoted or facilitated; describing our service as research does not disapply such law.
3. How We Select and Recommend Holidays
We independently select opportunities we consider interesting, affordable or good value. Our research may include personal stays, published hotel descriptions, Google and Tripadvisor reviews, traveller photographs, social media feedback, destination research and price comparisons.
Not every property or attraction has been visited or inspected by us. When a recommendation draws on third-party opinions rather than our own first-hand experience, those sources may be incomplete, subjective or outdated. The selection of a provider is not its certification, accreditation or a guarantee of safety, quality, suitability or the lowest available price.
We encourage travellers to check recent reviews and the provider's current booking information, particularly for important requirements such as accessibility, dietary needs, family facilities and other essential amenities.
4. Personal Reviews, Experiences and Editorial Opinions
WANDERLUSTMUSTS shares genuine personal experiences, honest opinions and independent editorial views about flights, airlines, accommodation, destinations, restaurants, attractions and other travel-related services. A first-hand review describes what we personally experienced, observed or believed at the relevant time.
Our opinions are subjective. Another traveller may have a different experience, and agreement with our views is not guaranteed. A positive review does not guarantee a similar stay; a negative review does not mean every customer will encounter the same problem. Service conditions and personal expectations can vary.
We aim to distinguish verified facts, attributed third-party information and personal opinion. We may describe genuine complaints and disputes supported by information available to us. We reserve the right to express honestly held positive and negative opinions lawfully.
We do not accept responsibility merely because someone disagrees with a lawful opinion or has a different subsequent experience. This provision does not protect false factual allegations, unlawful defamatory statements, misleading advertising or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Commercial relationships connected to review content will be disclosed as required by law and advertising rules.
5. Travel Rights Articles, Personal Experiences and Legal Information
Our Travel Rights articles exist to help other travellers understand possible rights following flight delays, cancellations, denied boarding, luggage issues, refund disputes and other travel problems. The articles may draw on our own dealings with airlines and travel providers, alongside independent research and links to legislation, official government guidance, regulators and other authoritative resources.
These articles provide general educational information, not personalised legal advice. WANDERLUSTMUSTS is not a law firm, does not offer legal representation and does not guarantee the outcome of any complaint, alternative dispute resolution matter, compensation claim or court case.
Personal experiences describe the specific circumstances of those cases; they are not a promise that another traveller has the same rights or will obtain the same remedy. Applicable rules may depend on the route, carrier, dates, booking arrangements, evidence, limitation periods and jurisdiction. Laws and guidance may change after publication.
Links to government and legal sources are provided for readers to verify information independently. Before relying on an article for an important decision, readers should check current requirements and seek advice from a suitably qualified solicitor, regulated legal adviser or appropriate consumer advice organisation where individual advice is required, especially before court proceedings.
We are not responsible for independent decisions made solely on the basis of general educational material, or for the acts and decisions of third-party providers, regulators or courts, except where liability arises under applicable law. No wording here excludes liability for our own actionable misleading statements or other non-excludable obligations.
6. Affiliate Links and Commission Disclosure
Some of our articles, deal listings, recommendations, product links and social posts contain affiliate links. If you make an eligible booking or purchase, we may earn a commission from the provider, retailer or affiliate network, which may be calculated by reference to the qualifying transaction value.
We do not add a separate WANDERLUSTMUSTS referral fee to the provider's advertised price simply because you followed our link. The payment for the flight, accommodation, holiday or product goes to the relevant provider or its payment processor, not to us. Affiliate commission is separate from any amount you pay directly to WANDERLUSTMUSTS for Plan My Trip research.
Affiliate relationships can create a commercial incentive to feature linked offers. We identify relevant advertising clearly where required; an explanation in these Terms alone does not replace disclosures beside promotional content. A commercial link does not mean we guarantee or operate the third-party service, and prices may differ elsewhere.
7. Independent Bookings and Provider Responsibility
When you leave our website to book independently, your booking ordinarily creates a separate contract with the airline, hotel, tour operator, retailer or other provider identified during checkout. That provider is responsible for its own booking confirmation, payment collection, contractual services, applicable refunds, complaints and fulfilment obligations.
Our referral does not make us the contracting travel supplier or transfer the provider's obligations to us. You should read the provider's terms and verify the final booking details before paying.
Nothing here excludes a responsibility WANDERLUSTMUSTS might have under consumer or package travel legislation where the actual way services are offered or facilitated brings the arrangement within those rules.
8. Payments, Duplicate Charges and Booking Errors
Payments for independently booked flights, hotels, holidays, transfers, attractions and retail products are handled by the third-party booking provider and its authorised processors. We do not receive or control the full booking payment through an affiliate link.
If a third party charges you twice or three times, takes an incorrect amount, fails to confirm a booking, makes a billing error or delays a refund, you should contact that provider and, where appropriate, your card issuer or bank. We cannot independently reverse its card charges or amend its records.
We are not liable for errors solely caused by an independent provider's systems or conduct, except to the extent a loss is legally attributable to our own conduct. This section does not affect our responsibility for payments you make directly for our paid planning services.
9. Clicking Links and Access to Personal Booking Information
Clicking an affiliate link does not by itself give WANDERLUSTMUSTS access to your passport, bank or card details, passenger records, booking account or confidential travel-provider correspondence. Nor can we independently view, cancel or amend a booking solely because our link was used.
Affiliate platforms may share referral IDs, transaction values, booking status and commission data. Analytics and cookies may process technical or online identifiers, which can constitute personal data. We do not promise that no data is processed when a visitor clicks: applicable cookie and data handling is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Details you choose to provide when subscribing, contacting us or buying Plan My Trip are collected separately for those purposes. Booking questions must normally be directed to the provider that holds the booking.
10. Prices, Availability and Advertised Travel Deals
Fares, hotel rates, availability and promotions are dynamic. Content reflects information available when researched or published, and an offer may change or disappear before you book. We cannot guarantee the availability of an identical room, flight or holiday, a fixed price or that an offer is the cheapest available.
Displayed prices may depend on departure airport, dates, occupancy, two people sharing, baggage, currency, taxes and optional extras. Always check the provider's final total, inclusions, cancellation conditions and payment terms before confirming. We do not control independent providers' later pricing decisions.
11. Accommodation, Facilities and Individual Expectations
Descriptions of hotel amenities, pools, restaurants, entertainment, transport, accessibility and other facilities may come from provider descriptions and publicly available information. Facilities may close, be renovated, change hours, become seasonal or incur additional charges.
The relevant supplier is responsible for providing the services it has contracted to supply and meeting its legal obligations. We do not operate its premises or control room allocation, staff, service levels or on-site decisions.
A recommendation does not guarantee that accommodation will meet a traveller's subjective expectations or particular needs. Verify any essential requirement directly with the provider in advance. Complaints about booked accommodation or facilities should normally be made to the contracted provider or package organiser. Our own non-excludable obligations remain unaffected.
12. Weather, Climate and Destination Conditions
Information about likely sunshine, rainfall, temperature, seasons and typical climate is for general planning and may rely on historical patterns or forecasts. Past averages and forecasts cannot guarantee the weather during your holiday.
We cannot promise sunshine, dry weather, snow, calm seas, swimming or skiing conditions, or the absence of storms, heatwaves, floods or other events. Weather-dependent activities may be cancelled or changed by operators.
Check reliable current forecasts, warnings and local advice before travelling. We do not control weather or unrelated disruptions. This does not exclude liability for any legally actionable misleading information or failure to exercise reasonable care in our paid work.
13. Delays, Disruptions and Events Outside Our Control
Airlines, hotels, tour operators and other suppliers control their own operations. Independent events may include flight cancellations, industrial action, airport closures, severe weather, hotel overbooking, political instability, natural disasters and government restrictions.
Claims for alternative transport, assistance, refunds or compensation should be directed to the responsible provider or relevant statutory route, subject to applicable rights. We do not guarantee the outcome of those claims.
14. Traveller Decisions and Essential Requirements
Travellers should independently check passports, visas, entry and transit rules, health and vaccination advice, travel insurance, government travel warnings, accessibility, baggage allowances, local charges and provider cancellation terms.
Official guidance, including the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office where applicable, should be consulted before travel. You are responsible for giving providers accurate passenger information and reviewing your booking confirmation. Our general content does not replace official immigration, medical, insurance or legal advice.
15. Paid Personalised Travel Planning – Plan My Trip
Plan My Trip is a paid research and recommendation service. It is not, simply by its name, a flight ticket, hotel reservation or package holiday. The included deliverables are described on our Plan My Trip page and at checkout. The current advertised planning options are:
- Find My Holiday – £39: Research within the package brief, including up to one flight recommendation revision and one accommodation recommendation revision.
- Plan My Holiday – £69: Research within the package brief, including up to two revisions each for flight recommendations, accommodation recommendations, travel tips and activities.
- Plan My Whole Trip – £99: Broader planning within the package brief, including up to three revision rounds in total across the same original trip, rather than three per category.
Fees pay for our own research and planning work and do not include a supplier's flights, hotels, activities, transfers, insurance or other travel charges. Customers ordinarily select, contract with and pay third-party providers independently.
We will provide the purchased service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that every recommended price remains available, that a customer will obtain a particular booking or that any provider will deliver a guaranteed experience.
The legal classification of any arrangement depends on what is actually offered and facilitated, not solely on these descriptions; mandatory package travel protections, where applicable, remain effective.
16. Orders, Questionnaires and Delivery
Customers must give accurate travel dates, budgets, party numbers, preferences, relevant requirements and other details needed for the selected package. Please complete the required questionnaire within 72 hours after purchase.
If the questionnaire is not returned, we may send a reminder allowing a further 24 hours; we may agree an additional extension of up to seven days. If essential information is still missing, we may cancel the unstarted order after notice and refund it in full. If work has begun following an agreed brief, any refund will follow applicable law and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Our usual target is approximately three to five working days after a complete brief and all essential information have been received, unless another delivery period is agreed. We will inform customers of material delays. A customer should not make a non-refundable booking in reliance on a particular delivery date that we have not expressly agreed.
17. Revisions, Scope and Changes
Revisions refine the recommendations within the original brief. The revision allowance for each package appears in Section 15. Customers should submit revision requests within 48 hours of receiving the relevant plan or revised recommendations.
A substantial change in destination, dates, budget, traveller numbers or trip purpose may require a new brief rather than an included revision. We will explain and seek agreement to any additional fee before performing chargeable work. Revision limits do not restrict remedies for services that were not performed with reasonable care and skill.
18. Cancellation and Refunds for Planning Services
Consumers buying services at a distance will generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after entering the contract, subject to applicable exceptions and the information provided at checkout.
You may expressly ask us to begin work during that period. If you then cancel before the service is fully performed, and the statutory conditions for a proportionate charge are met, you may be required to pay a reasonable proportion for work supplied up to cancellation. Where the legally required early-performance request and acknowledgement have been obtained and the service has been fully performed, the statutory cancellation right may end.
For clarity, our understanding of full performance includes delivering agreed work and completing or allowing the agreed opportunity for included revisions. We will not treat work as fully performed merely because a first draft of a plan has been sent while promised work remains outstanding.
Changing your mind about a destination, choosing not to book a recommended provider or seeing a third-party price rise does not automatically create a refund entitlement where we have properly supplied the agreed service. Your statutory remedies for services not provided with reasonable care and skill remain unaffected.
For full details and how to cancel, see our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Planning-order enquiries should be sent to planmytrip@wanderlustmusts.co.uk with your order details.
19. Accuracy, Corrections and Updates
We aim to research content carefully, but provider information, prices, local regulations and travel requirements can change. We may edit, correct or remove content as new information becomes available. We do not guarantee that every older article is continually updated.
Readers should verify essential current details before spending money or relying on information for a significant decision. Nothing here limits our duties to avoid misleading statements or provide our own paid services with reasonable care and skill.
20. External Websites and Links
Links may lead to independent airlines, accommodation platforms, booking companies, retailers, government resources and other third parties. They operate under their own terms, security arrangements and privacy practices.
We do not control their websites or guarantee that they will remain available. Review relevant provider terms before entering your information or making payments. We remain responsible only to the extent imposed by law for our own conduct.
21. Social Media Content
Our TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and other social content may contain travel inspiration, first-hand experiences, independent research, opinions and affiliate promotions. Conditions and prices can change after publication.
The personal review and Travel Rights principles in Sections 4 and 5 also apply to our social content. Promotional posts and affiliate links will be identified as advertising when required. Our presence on a platform does not make us responsible for that platform's independent services or decisions.
22. Intellectual Property
Original WANDERLUSTMUSTS writing, editorial content, branding, layouts and creative materials belong to us or are used with permission, subject to third-party rights. You may read and share links for lawful personal use but must not systematically copy, republish or commercially exploit protected content without authorisation or another lawful basis.
Third-party names, marks and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing here restricts statutory exceptions to intellectual property rights.
23. Acceptable Website Use
Visitors must not misuse our forms, impersonate other people, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with website operation, distribute malicious content, commit fraud or infringe the rights of others.
We may act proportionately in response to unlawful or abusive conduct. These restrictions do not prevent legitimate consumer complaints or the exercise of legal rights.
24. Liability and Statutory Rights
We distinguish our own editorial and paid-research responsibilities from the separate contractual obligations of third-party booking providers. We are not ordinarily liable merely because an independently booked holiday differs from a reader's personal expectations, a provider has made a billing error or the weather differs from historical averages.
Our lawfully expressed personal opinions do not guarantee another traveller's experience. Our general Travel Rights information is not a guarantee of a successful claim. These limitations only apply to the extent permitted by law and do not eliminate responsibility for our own legally actionable acts or omissions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded, failure to exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our paid services, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where a clause is found unfair or unenforceable, applicable law prevails.
25. Privacy, Cookies and Personal Information
We may process information you submit when contacting us, signing up for updates or purchasing planning services. Cookies, affiliate referral technology and website analytics may also involve online identifiers and other personal data.
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain the relevant processing, choices and rights. A click on a booking link does not automatically give us access to your private provider account, passport information or payment card details.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, website operations, content and services. The revised version will state an updated date. Changes normally apply prospectively; terms accepted for an existing paid order will continue to govern that order unless a lawful change is agreed or required.
27. Complaints, Business Details and Contact
For concerns about the content or services supplied by WANDERLUSTMUSTS, please contact us through our Contact page. For Plan My Trip delivery, cancellations or refund requests, email planmytrip@wanderlustmusts.co.uk and include the order number where available.
Complaints about an airline, hotel, booking transaction or other independently supplied travel service should normally be raised with the business responsible for that transaction or service.
28. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence and any mandatory rules concerning the courts in which proceedings may be brought.
If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate as far as the law permits.
